Edward. 2014. Video Installation (Projection over Plexiglas, oil painting, 6x4 photographs, text).

This installation was made possible thanks to the collaboration of Dominican artist Edward Salcedo which provided me with the materials in this piece.

A dialogs develops between images Edward shot with his cellphone and subtitles that expose a conversation between two young dominican emerging artist; one in the island, and the other one in NYC.

The installation questions the role of art, institutionalised art, in society in relation to speaker for/about the marginalised other.

This project was done thanks to the fund of 27 concurso de arte Eduardo Leon Jimenes, it won the contest and now is part of the private collection of Centro Leon, Santiago de los Caballeros Dominicana Republic.
