I made this video as a reaction to a nationalist, homophobic article published in 2012 in a magazine for kids in the Dominican Republic.

I use subtitles to explore memories on sexual and gender identity in a country where the catholic moral is imposed in education and in every aspect of society.

Al Compás was produced thanks to a grant from the 26 Concurso de Arte Eduardo Leon Jimenes in 2012.
